Honours

Caroline Humphrey, who received her MA at Leeds in 1971, has been elected to the American Philosophical Society, that country’s oldest learned society.

Michelle Johnson, a research assistant in the school of civil engineering has been awarded the Otter Trophy by the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management.  

Professor Ian Ward of the school of physics and astronomy has been awarded the Netlon Medal by the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining.
