World-renowned pianist and Leeds honorary graduate Murray Perahia is to perform at the University as part of the centenary celebrations next year. He will give a short concert on Friday June 25 to mark the opening of the refurbished Clothworkers’ Centenary Concert Hall. Further details will be announced in due course.

The centenary celebrations are also to include an extra day’s annual leave for all staff, to be taken on Friday 27 August, making a long bank holiday weekend.

Further information is available, including details of academic plans for the centenary and new chairs.
