Rebecca Summer Graphic design students

Fashion students

Leeds final year students have been showing off their creativity this month. Among the fine art students displaying their work was Rebecca Sumner (top left) who has used all kinds of substances, including Weetabix, orange peel, chocolate chips, celery, onion skin and her own hair, to create what's claimed to be the largest hand-made sheet of paper in the world. Graduating students from graphic design also showed their work (top right), while those in fashion design followed a successful showing at London's graduate fashion week with their own show in Leeds on June 12. The work of 19 final-year students and 27 second-years was paraded on the catwalk in the Parkinson Court; the photo (right) shows them hard at work preparing for the show. Fashion design students will also be showing off their designs at the Great Yorkshire Show in Harrogate, July 8-10.
