Grand and tragic

The adaptation by Dr Jim Mirrione of Cyril Pearce’s book on conscientious objection in Huddersfield, ‘Comrades in Conscience’ (see Reporter 472) is to performed for schools at the Royal Armouries. Extracts from the play ‘That grand and tragic show’ will be set in the context of WW1 studies, in special matinee performances by Catherine Collins and Jonathon Davies, third year dramaturgy students. Those who missed the play at Powerhouse1 in Wakefield earlier this month can see it performed in full at the Lawrence Batley Theatre in Huddersfield on June 12. Call 01484 430528.
