Job evaluation

The University is committed to developing pay and grading structures based on equal pay for work of equal value, and is using an analytical job evaluation scheme, HERA, to help achieve this.

Staff unions Amicus and Unison are working with the University to test HERA, with a view to implementing it once national agreements have been reached. Role profiles for support staff will be drawn up by August 2003. Separate discussions are taking place with the AUT about the possibility of marrying its role profile scheme with HERA. Staff briefings will be held shortly.

For more information, contact HERA project manager Annette Gamston ext. 34851, a.gamston@ adm.leeds.ac.uk or download more information from www.leeds.ac.uk/hr/information/HERA.doc
