Free – no MIS print

Free IT training for local print and packaging companies is being offered by a team in the school of process, environmental and materials engineering.

The course is aimed at managers in Yorkshire's 1,500 print and packaging companies. Owner of print company Watch 50, Peter Gledhill said: "This course is a positive step to address the IT skills shortage in the printing industry and is, I believe, a long overdue initiative."

The management information systems (MIS) course will start in September. Funded by the European Social Fund and the University, the course will be run online, so students can work from home or office.
