is at hand
1,000 students were helped by the University counselling
service last year, in either individual or group sessions
and workshops. There was an increase in the numbers needing
one-to-one counselling and the service is now hoping to
relocate to a larger building to help reduce waiting lists.
98% of students gave positive feedback, with more than
93% saying their experience of UCSC was good or excellent.
Many felt that without the help of the service, they would
have been unable to finish their degrees.
students thought that staff need to be more aware of the
help UCSC can offer, in order to recommend the service
to students with problems.
