How far, how loud?

Quebec's UK representative Monsieur Daniel Audet will discuss the region and its global position at the University later this month.

The University operates a number of student exchanges with the universities of Montreal and McGill. The Quebec delegation has supported the centre for francophone studies for several years by sponsoring conferences. Leeds is also home to one of only a handful of centres for Canadian studies in the UK.

An expert in business law, Monsieur Audet has held posts as chief of staff to the Prime Minister of Quebec, Bernard Landry, and as an executive of VidŽotron Communications. Now head of Quebec's UK, Ireland and Nordic office he is also a director of the Canadian Customs and Revenue Agency.

The lecture Quebec on the world scene: how far, how loud? is open to all and will take place in the Rupert Beckett lecture theatre at 5.30pm on March 12.
