Scourge of England

Two diseases that were the scourge of Victorian England are the subject of a lecture by Leeds graduate and former lecturer Professor Mike Green. Entitled 'White Death, Bright Death' the lecture will provide a microscopic look at TB and Bright's disease, and will interest all those concerned with medical and social history.

The event, organised jointly by the Yorkshire medical and dental history society and the Royal Society of Medicine, is open to all University staff and students. Entry is free. The lecture takes place at 6.30pm on Tuesday 26 February in the medical lecture theatre, Worsley Building.
