new research projects have been given the go-ahead following
£1/2m investment from BNFL. The Particle Technology University
Research Alliance, a five-year research partnership between
the company and the University, will be researching fuel
fabrication, spent fuel management and waste management
business areas of BNFL. The new projects were announced
at the Alliances annual review day held at the BNFL
Technology Centre, Sellafield.
director Professor Richard Williams, said: "The Alliance
involves all levels of the University, from undergraduates
and postgraduates to research fellows and academic staff.
We are very pleased that BNFL are extending their research
with us, and are looking forward to a busy year ahead".
