and its Worldwide University Network (WUN) partners are
to launch a masters programme in public policy and management.
The project is one of the first to be delivered by the
UK’s e-University and is expected to provide a model for
further courses to be run across the WUN. The distance-learning
MA course is aimed at senior officials in public services
who deal with social security issues.
WUN is a collaboration between the universities of Leeds,
Bristol, Manchester, Sheffield, Southampton and York in
the UK and the US universities of California at San Diego,
Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Washington at Seattle, Wisconsin-Madison
and the Pennsylvania State University.
University Vice-Chancellor Professor Sir Alan Wilson has
been appointed to the board of UK e-Universities Worldwide.
The company, set up by UniversitiesUK, will operate with
private sector partners to deliver e-University programmes
