MA on the network

Leeds and its Worldwide University Network (WUN) partners are to launch a masters programme in public policy and management. The project is one of the first to be delivered by the UKs e-University and is expected to provide a model for further courses to be run across the WUN. The distance-learning MA course is aimed at senior officials in public services who deal with social security issues.

The WUN is a collaboration between the universities of Leeds, Bristol, Manchester, Sheffield, Southampton and York in the UK and the US universities of California at San Diego, Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Washington at Seattle, Wisconsin-Madison and the Pennsylvania State University.

l University Vice-Chancellor Professor Sir Alan Wilson has been appointed to the board of UK e-Universities Worldwide. The company, set up by UniversitiesUK, will operate with private sector partners to deliver e-University programmes and services.
