Cutting the bandage

A new medical training centre has been officially opened, in response to the increase in medical places and the new requirement for small group teaching as part of the medical curriculum. The centre, which includes a 250 seat lecture theatre and twelve seminar rooms, was only ten weeks from planning to competion.

Cutting a bandage in place of the traditional ribbon to open the centre, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for research Professor David Sugden said: "This facility will ensure that our medical students benefit from a teaching experience second to none."
