Knowledge campus

The most wide-ranging ebusiness and University agreement in the UK has been signed by the University of Leeds and developer Thorpe Park (Leeds) Limited, to create the Leeds Knowledge Economy (KE) Campus.

Agreement signed – Vice-Chancellor Alan Wilson (left) and director of Thorpe Park (Leeds) Limited, Victor Watson

The KE campus will provide an environment where knowledge-based businesses can benefit from the University’s research base, knowledge transfer activities, executive training opportunities and graduates as well as international research links through the Worldwide Universities Network.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Alan Wilson said: "This presents a major opportunity for the University to extend its relationship with global corporates and to play a greater pivotal role in the growth of regional tehnology clusters."
