Ken Hall, modern languages co-ordinator in the School of Education, has been awarded the Santa Cruz literary prize by the Anglo-Spanish Society and the Spanish Embassy for a series of three articles in the Anglo-Spanish Society Quarterly Review on George Wynne Apperley, an English artist who moved to Spain at the outbreak of the First World War.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Alan Wilson, has been elected as an Academician of the Academy of Learned Societies for the Social Sciences.
