Scientific and technical staff at the University have successfully completed the City and Guilds Senior Awards programme with the work-based learning unit at the School of Continuing Education. The programme has proved a popular route for support staff to gain recognised academic qualifications as part of personal and professional development.
The 11-strong Leeds group was the first contingent of technical staff at any UK university to complete successful study for the Award. Their certificate ceremony was presided over by Colonel Alan Roberts, former Pro-Chancellor of the University and President of the City and Guilds Association.
