Physics department workshop engineer Trevor Sitlinton is off to Tunisia later this month as a coach to the British judo team in the martial artís world championships.
He will serve as support coach for the junior team, in the 12 to 18 age group, as well as helping the male competitors in the under-20 bracket.
Mr Sitlinton, who took up judo some 30 years ago and also coaches the University club twice a week, said the national team was expected to do really well in the afterglow of the Sydney games.
