MvM proves a hit

A full house at the Clothworkers’ Centenary Concert Hall enjoyed the world premiere of a new performance, The Coat of Invisible Notes (CoIN), created for the revolutionary Music via Motion (MvM) audiovisual environment invented by Dr Kia Ng of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Scientific Research in Music (Reporter 452).

The production, sponsored by Yorkshire Arts, featured collaboration between dancers, musicians and designers to demonstrate how MvM technology can integrate different domains of creativity. After the free premiere on September 29, CoIN had its first performance for a paying public at the Showcase Theatre in Wakefield on Saturday night and further dates were being lined up as the Reporter went to press.
