The YHUA, the body representing Yorkshire and Humberside’s ten universities, has appointed Michael Noble as its new chief executive.
Mr Noble was formerly senior assistant secretary at the University of Bradford, and has been active in a number of regional organisations. He became chair of the board of the West and North Yorkshire Open College Network in 1992 and has been deputy chair of the Northern Universities Credit Consortium since 1998. He was centrally involved in the NHS Regional Credit Scheme.
"Universities have a vital role to play in the regeneration of the region," said Mr Noble. "I am very much looking forward to being able to contribute to the excellent work which is already being done."
