Universities are ‘ready and willing’ to play their part in the UK’s economic competitiveness – but they need adequate resources to do the job, the Committee of Vice-Chancellors and Principals has told the House of Commons science and technology committee.
The CVCP was making a submission to an inquiry into the impact of the 1993 white paper, Realising our Potential. Leeds Vice-Chancellor Professor Alan Wilson, the CVCP research policy sector group chairman, gave evidence on June 14.
