Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge 2000
The National Heart Research Fund (‘Heart Research’) is planning a large scale ascent of Yorkshire’s three highest peaks - Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. The charity is keen to register more walkers willing to complete the 26 mile trek on June 24th.
'Heart Research' hopes to raise £30,000 from the event. They have been providing a lifeline for research into the cure and prevention of heart disease for over 30 years and currently funds over £1m of research at centres of excellence throughout Yorkshire and the UK.
