Champagne corks were popping in physics and astronomy in celebration of full marks - 24 out of 24 - from the Quality Assurance Agency for teaching quality. The department has bettered Oxbridge, and is now one of only three in the country - the others being Durham and Manchester - to achieve double success in research and teaching assessments, with top scores of 5 and 24 respectively.
