The first students to complete the University’s new part-time modular programmes for qualified healthcare professionals received their awards recently.
Pictured left to right (above) are Wendy Stevens, Julie Burt, Margaret Kerins and Darren Whelan. Ms Burt and Ms Kerins are both nurses and Ms Stevens and Mr Whelan are audiologists.
A debate on the role of ultrasound in the diagnosis of breast diseases was included in a recent breast imaging study day organised by healthcare studies.
The event drew 60 delegates from across the field and included a technical exhibition as well as lectures and workshops on taking and interpreting images.
