David Ansbro has been appointed by Court as University Pro-Chancellor and Chair of Council. Mr Ansbro, who graduated from the University with a law degree in 1966, will take up office on April 1.

He succeeds Colonel Alan Roberts in both positions. Colonel Roberts is stepping down on March 31 after 13 years as Pro-Chancellor.
"It is a great honour and a privilege to be able to give something back to the University to which I owe so much," said Mr Ansbro. University Registrar David Robinson said: "Alan Robertsí contribution to the University of Leeds has been enormous and greatly appreciated by students and staff alike."
