At least 130 fixed-term contract posts are to be converted to permanent posts following the annual review of fixed-term contracts. Of these, 44 are clerical positions, 30 are academic, 22 academic-related, 27 ancillary and 8 technical. In the first review carried out in 1998/9 some 260 posts were made permanent. The next review is scheduled for autumn this year.
The posts will be converted over the next month or so. Anyone who would like feedback on the results of the review as it affects their post should contact their head of resource centre or HR manager.
