A new University centre for Chinese business and development is being set-up with the help of a £750,000 grant from HEFCE.
Leeds is one of only seven institutions in the country to have been awarded funds, under a new initiative to promote postgraduate Chinese studies.
The centre will build on existing strengths in the Department of East Asian Studies and Leeds University Business School. It will promote postgraduate teaching and research in management, business and other social sciences in relation to China.
It will offer a range of innovative postgraduate courses to provide students with the skills to work in British business in East Asia.
