The University has signed an agreement with the Colorado school of mines to promote greater cooperation between the two institutions. The US school already sends students to Leeds for study years abroad. The new programme is likely to see full faculty and student exchanges, joint research and cooperation in the development and delivery of technical workshops.
During a recent visit, delegates from Colorado met members of staff in Earth Sciences and were shown around the School of Process, Environmental and Materials Engineering.
