The business school’s credit management research centre has launched a new quarterly survey of credit management in 1,000 UK companies. The ‘credit management quarterly review’ is the only survey of its kind to take information from a panel of credit managers on a regular basis. The data tracks trends and changes in credit management practice, company payment behaviour and corporate sector risk.
The centre - led by Professor Nick Wilson - has built up a rich data bank over the past two years which will be used to monitor and forecast key areas of business activity. Previous centre findings include that large businesses pay their bills the latest and that Internet use has doubled over the 18 months to September 1999.
