Guests from Belarus

Twenty children from Belarus were put up in the University’s Devonshire Hall in July, before going on to stay with families in the city. All the children have some form of cancer as a result of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor accident in 1986 and were brought to visit the UK by the Chernobyl Children’s Project.
