Thousands of civil and public servants will have new opportunities to study through a new partnership between the University and trade union organisation Learning through Life.
A suite of distance learning courses ranging from career development to the history of the trade unions have been developed specifically for staff in the civil and public services. Course materials will be available on the Internet early next year.
"We are delighted to be working with Learning through Life to open up learning opportunities for civil and public servants," said Dr Cilla Ross of continuing education.
