GM foods are definitely on the menu at a range of cafe-bars in Leeds this week - though only to be chewed over in the mind.
‘Frankenstein foods’ and the so-called Frankenstein effect are included in a week-long series of scientific discussions and meetings beginning today (September 27) at cafe-bars in Leeds.
The programme is organised by Cafe Scientifique's Duncan Dallas and features talks by leading scientists and writers. "It’s a place where, for the price of a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, people meet to discuss the latest ideas and developments of science and technology that are changing our lives," said Mr Dallas.
