Sir Roy Meadow, Emeritus Professor in the School of Medicine's Division of Paediatrics and Child Health has been awarded the James Spence Medal by the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. The medal is Britain's highest award in paediatrics and child health, and was presented by HRH The Princess Royal. Earlier in the year, Professor Meadow was also awarded the Swedish Svenska Lakaresallskapet Medal for his contribution to the recognition and understanding of child abuse.
