A Christmas cake raffle held by University Catering Services has raised £106 for Wheatfields Hospice. Tickets for the cake, made by refectory chef Kevin Rogers, were sold in the salad and deli bars. A Christmas raffle held by UNISERV raised £418 for the NSPCC. Most of the prizes were acquired by UNISERV staff collecting points from petrol stations when they filled up their vans. The cheque was presented to Elaine McGrath of the NSPCC by Terry Watkinson and UNISERVs general manager John Howe.
