Celebrating 31 years’ service

For many staff at the University, 31 October was a sad day. Not only did we have to part with our money at the hands of witches, devils, ghosts and ghouls, but we had to say goodbye to Thelma March who took early retirement after 31 years of service. Thelma was a popular member of staff in the cash office in the finance section and always shared a smile or joke with anyone she met. Her last days at work were filled with flowers, kisses, food and tears (in that order) and ended with a farewell party. We wish Thelma and her husband a long, happy and healthy retirement.
