Science scoop

Science education specialists at University College Bretton Hall have been awarded £90,000 by the pharmaceutical and chemical company Zeneca for a pilot project to improve science teaching in Barnsley primary schools. The award, from the Zeneca Science Teaching Trust, is one of only four made nationally and will be used to give additional training in science education for teachers and to fund much-needed science equipment.
