Arthritis examined

Leeds patients are to benefit from a new University study looking at the impact of early treatment on people with rheumatoid arthritis. Professor Paul Emery’s team has been awarded more than £100,000 by the Arthritis and Rheumatism Council to study the first phase of the disease and the effects of early treatment. Recently-diagnosed patients taking part in the study will undergo a scan with the most sophisticated equipment in the world.
