New deal at Bretton

Rents paid by cash-strapped students have been slashed at a college of the University, following a pioneering partnership between management and the Students Union. The 12 per cent rent cut at Bretton Hall is the first fruit of a formal partnership agreement signed by college principal Professor Gordon Bell and student president Mick Molden. The deal means that students are represented at every level of the college management structure, including a seat on the governing body for the union president.
