Christine Leigh has taken up the developmental Chair of Virtual Working Environments in the Centre for Virtual Working Systems.
Formerly Senior Lecturer in the School of Geography, in recent years Professor Leigh has been developing a research and development programme in the area of virtual working environments, including the development of the Virtual Science Park, with colleagues in Computer Studies.
She is the Director of the Yorkshire and Humberside Regional Research Observatory and closely involved in the development of the Yorkshire and Humberside Universities' Association. Her research has focused on innovation and restructuring in industry.
