Funday opener heralds Europe’s biggest science festival

Roaring success: The British Association Festival of Science, organised at Leeds by Professor David Holdcroft, began with a Sunday Funday with hundreds of families enjoying a free day of hands-on activites on the campus. Among the helpers were some more exotic species, such as Drs Richard Twitchett and Dave Peacock of Earth Sciences. See pages 4-5 for a full round-up.
