The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Alan Wilson, has been made a Fellow of the City and Guilds of London Institute. The Fellowship is in respect of academic leadership and professional distinction. The Institute, founded in 1884, has strong links with the University of Leeds. The University has delegated authority for Senior Awards and the Institute has international recognition for its standards and courses. There are some 300 Fellows of the Institute and the Fellowship will be conferred on the Vice- Chancellor at a ceremony in London later this year.
