Gresham professor

Dr Lynette Hunter, Reader in Rhetoric in the School of English has been appointed Gresham Professor of Rhetoric at Gresham College in London. This two-year appointment requires her to deliver two lectures a term at the College (itself first created some 400 years ago). She is the first woman to have been invited to give these lectures – and follows in the footsteps of William Empson, Bonamy Dobree and John Wain amongst many others.
