The Division of Imaging and Radiotherapy Sciences held an open day on Monday May 12. Currently based at Seacroft Hospital, the division will move to the Baines Wing on the main University campus later this year. The division has close links with NHS Trust hospitals to enable access to X-ray, ultrasound and radiotherapy equipment for practical work and student research.
As well as offering undergraduate programmes, postgraduate courses in breast imaging and ultrasound are also available. Head of Division Brian Bentley emphasised that the learning process in this field never stops and a number of short courses offered by the division allow medical staff to update their skills.
