The Leeds University Business School is holding a 50th anniversary conference on the Marshall Plan and its consequences from.The 1947 Plan was a key element in the shaping of the postwar world. This two-day interdisciplinary conference, from May 2324, will re-evaluate its consequences for both Europe and the USA in the light of current debates over the international order.
Papers will cover US postwar hegemony, European reconstruction, labour movements in Europe and postwar economic management. Speakers include Kathleen Burk, Sir Alec Cairncross, Fernando Guirao, and Jim Tomlinson.
