Angling club seeks recruits

The University of Leeds Angling Club was formed in 1985 as the Social Club angling section. Although primarily for University staff, it was decided to include staff members family and friends to boost membership.

We run around 13 matches a year including a challenge match against York University on home and away basis. The away leg being he York University lake, which is a very exclusive venue. The winning team are awarded the UNISERV shield, which has been kindly sponsored by B.S.L. Leeds. Individual trophies are awarded for the winners of all matches and are presented at a social evening either in December or January.

Meetings are held at 8.30 pm at the Staff Social Club on the 3rd Thursday of every month, starting May 15th 1997. Membership is £15, juniors£5, match fees are £3 with pools optional.
