Focus on physics

The design of can ring-pulls, the application of physics in the world of finance, oil spillages and why girls don't want to do physics are among topics at the Institute of Physics Annual Congress to be held at the University from March 24-27. The latest, the best and the quirkiest in physics research will be covered in this year's programme which also includes public and plenary lectures, a day of activities for students, short courses and the trade exhibition Physics World 97.
