Two public health graduates will visit North America this year on BMA Joan Dawkins Travel Fellowships. Gillian Fairfield will study Managed Care and Disease Management in Seattle, while Nick Summerton will be studying at McMaster University in Canada.
Two Medical School students are joint winners of the Chris Church Anaesthetic Prize, an annual award commemorating the Bradford consultant anaesthetist. Elizabeth Garthwaite and Catherine Flynn received a medal, cheque and certificate after achieving the highest result in the University's anaesthetic undergraduate examination.
