The Committee of Vice-Chancellors and Principals has submitted its ideas on the future of higher education funding to the Dearing Inquiry. It calls for a new fundingscheme which combines contributions from graduates and schemes to stimulate investment by employers. This income contingent loans scheme for all graduates would replace the current system which it describes as outdated and unfair.
CVCP also said there are widespread and urgent calls for an increase in student numbers from employers, students and professional bodies.
