Top honours

Clinical research fellow Sunjay Kanwar has received the major international accolade for nutrition work - the American Society for Parental and Enteral Nutrition's Harry M Vars Research Award - for his paper Does the route of feeding modify gut barrier function following major upper gastrointestinal surgery? Dr Kanwar, who works in the professorial surgical unit at St James' Hospital, is due to deliver his paper at an awards ceremony in San Francisco this week.
